5 Ways to Use Aloe Vera Gel.
I got my pot of Aloe Vera last month and I’m growing it. I find this information very useful. I’m still researching other ways that I will use my Aloe Vera Gel!
The first time I saw Bringaraj Powder (BP) was at Olori. This was a couple of months ago when I was searching for a good leave-in conditioner. I saw lots of powder and wondered which one to go for. So, I did a little research online and…boom – BP! BP was the one I thought would meet my hair needs, so I placed an order (along with perm rods – which I am yet to use, anyway). You can read more about Bringaraj Powder (BP) here.
I was a bit skeptical to use it while I was on ‘my ultimate Castor Oil Challenge’. The reason is that I wanted to find out (without the use of castor oil) if BP is working for me or not. But after I read that BP has conditioning benefits, I thought it would be worth the try. Here is what it looks like…
For now, I prefer to use this powder for my hair ONLY and this is how I use it:
- Mix BP with water to make a paste,
- Section hair into parts and then apply paste to my scalp.
- Gently massage (I usually do this while protein/deep conditioning)
- Cover hair with a shower cap and leave on for at least one hour
- Wash out using Dudu-Osun soap and warm water.
I’ve used this for 3 months now and I know my hair has grown. I don’t have any pre- or post- pictures to share but I will share pictures at my nappiversary which is around the corner…
So Naturalistas, has anyone been using this product and do you have testimonies to share?
True…our scalp deserves treatment.
Hiya! This is the third and final update on this season of ‘my ultimate castor oil challenge’. I know this is coming very late…I’m saying this season because I plan to go into another challenge after my nappiversary. Here are photos of the journey so far…
Summary and lessons learnt:
Hair grows! All you need to do is take good care of it. If we take good care of our hair, it will grow. I think the consciousness of the challenge is what forces one to take care of the hair that is why we see the changes. So, if you want your hair to grow:
- Research and find the right product for your hair,
- Have a regimen and stick to it.
I must confess that during the last month of the challenge, I wasn’t as consistent as I was in the first month (probably that is why I didn’t notice much growth). But I’m pleased that my has grown and I know that Castor oil is good for my hair!
Since I started my natural hair journey I have been struggling a lot with shrinkage. I always wondered what the benefits were since it didn’t help to show that my hair is growing, that is, the actual length wasn’t showing. After reading this post, I feel much better and I thought it would be nice to share…Enjoy!
